Report from HIM Leader:

Reporting to you in regard to Hmong Ministry of Northern Thailand during July-09:

1. Have brought 5 people into saving faith in Jesus Christ ( 3 from Lao on border)

2. Condcuted Bible studies, praise and pray in 5 Cell groups

3. Conducted church revival in Ban Nam Sok, Thung Chang District, Nan

4. Taught Hmong Literacy, English classes and Bible studies in Pua dorm

5. Proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Ban Doi Tew, Paklang, Pam Kae and Manee Pruke

6. Conducted Bible studies with believers from Lao on the border

7. Affiliated closely with Thailand and Northern Thai Baptist Church Association

8. Coordinated closely with Northern Thai church leader denominations

9. Meeting with Rev. Narong Tongsuk, new director and participated in with TBLT appointing ceremony in Chiang Mai

Conclusion: Hmong International Ministries has reached the unreached people for Christ. Many Hmong animist have chance to know the True Living God and get saved through Hmong International Ministries.

We have made church growth training available for church groups throughout Northern Thailand. Without your support many Hmong won't be able to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and get saved. Many christian groups won't be able to receive church leadership training and church revivals. Please pray for us and the people we are serving.

July Report-Xeng Lor

Report from HIM Leader:

The enclosed monthly report is from Xeng Lor, Chiang Rai Province during July-09

1. I preached and taught Sunday School in the church

2. Proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ and shared testimonies for 39 people in 3 villages

3. Visited church memebers who were sick and prayed for them

Due to rainy season not much chance to go to the remote areas for sharing the Gospel

Report from Nan Province:

To keep you updated on Hmong Ministry in Ban Doi Tiew, Thawanpha District, Ban Pam Kae and Ban Manee Pruke, Thung Chang District, Nan this weekend.

On Saturday I shared the True Living God and had a long discussed with Mr. Chong Ken Saeher, shaman, Ban Doi Tew. He is a shaman for the Her clan there. He admitted he has misled the clan for a long period of time. Now he knows the truth about the True Living God, he will discuss with his clan members and perhaps will confront his clan members to come the Lord soon. He is ready to accept the Lord Jesus Christ to be his own personal savior. He and clan members will set an appointment to meet with me in the near future. He said if he becomes a Christian the clan members would also become Christians. I challenged this shaman and hopely God will encounter him and his clan members.

Secondly, on sunday we have Bible studies and lead fellowship service in Ban Pam Kae and have Bible studies with a Cell group.

Met with a group of animistic people in Ban Manee Pruke. God touched Mr. and Mrs. Zong Kai Saethao and 4 children hearts and saved their souls. This family worshipped the god of the sky (Chaofa) unlike the other Hmong who worship their ancestors. I was able to answer all his questions and presented salvation plan for him. He said, his god must be a small under Jesus Christ. He and his wife made profession faith in Jesus Christ at 5 PM this evening, see the attached photo(children photo not available)

Please pray for Mr. Zong Saethao & family and Mr. Chong Ken Saeher, shaman in Ban Doi Tew, Nan Province. The rice field is ripened but a few workers for harvesting. By the way, please see the enclosed altar attached to the wall. The mark of the god of the sky hangs above the altar with a big capital letter "J"

Report on Border Ministry:

Just to keep you updated on Hmong Border Ministry this weekend at Huai Korn market place and Ban Mai market place, Nan Province:

We met a group of animistic people at Huai Korn and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. Several people were interested in the Gospel. I took two photos at Huai Korn of a girl carrying a heavy load through the gate and some are selling on the ground.

We met a group of believers and unbelievers at another border in Ban Mai, Nan Province on Sunday for Bible studies and sharing the Gospel. God encountered many people lives. Three sisters made profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Many others were interested in the True Living God. Several people told me that they needed the Lord. They are being held in bondage by evil spirits (ancestors) for a long time. They know that there is a true living God out there, but they just don't have chance get to know the True Living God because no body was telling them.

Now they know the truth, and willing to get rid of the spirits ( ancestors). They saw believers in the their village who were free of power of the evil sporits. They knew that the evil spirits control their lives and causing them sickness, bad dreams, bad luck, family problems. They wish they had known the true living God earlier.

Beside this, they said if the local authorities cooperate many people would become Christians, but due to the local authorities threaten and persecute, many people are afraid. However some people really dedicated their lives to the Lord, doesn't matter what happens to their lives. They are believing in God and will spend eternal life with God in heaven. It took 2 years for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Hmong animistic people around Thai Lao border.

See the attached photos. Three sisters are happy to know the True Living God: Mrs. Choue Xiong, Mrs. Ger Vang, and younger siter Miss Kong Thao, age 16. Please pray for the new family memebers and the people in the village.

HIM Leader Report from Chiang Rai Province

Dear Fran,

We went to Fucheefa areas for follow up prospects in Ban Thevada, ChiangKham District, Phayao and Ban Xaithong, Vienkaen District, Chiang Rai. We met with Mr. Tou Saeher, shaman and his family clan members. I shared the true Living God and presented salvation plan to them. They told me that they will become Christians. The shaman said, he will discuss with his clan members and will let me know soon. The shaman said if he becomes a Christian, he wants his family clan members to become Christians also. One of his clan members made profession of faith in Jesus Christ today, Mrs. Xia Saeher. (See attached photo)

Please pray for the new family members and the other family members that God will encounter their hearts and save them soon.

Pray for Becca

Rebecca Story's ongoing heart condition:

The following is a recent report from Becca's mother, Denise. There will be followup reports on her condition.

Dear Friends and prayer partners,

I know each of you over the last 12 years have prayed for Rebecca and her heart condition.

We have just arrived home from our trip to Rochester, MN where we see specialist at the Mayo Clinic that have been monitoring her for many years. We have been blessed with the fact that she has been able to weather her severe condition this long. Unfortunately, the time has come.

With great sadness in my heart, Rebecca will be having Open Heart surgery in May, 2010. As parents, we don't have a lot of choices. If the heart remains, even though she is strong now and doing very well, her right ventricle will eventually collapse under the pressure and leakage from the tricuspid valve. She will eventually die due to right sided heart failure or would need heart transplantation if a donor is found.

This does not paint a pretty picture. So with that said, we will have the surgery. Even though I am so scared and at this time can not imagine the magnitude it will bring, I know that this is the only way we have to go. Her surgery will be performed in Minnesota. We will be there no longer than 2 weeks if all goes well. The surgery is intense and very complicated. It will last at least 4 or more hours. I can begin to describe its magnitude, but I know that God will be there with her and us during it all. If I did not have that hope, I could not go on.

With that said, I want to "thank you" for remembering her over the years and pray that you will continue to remember us during the upcoming months. Pray that I will have strength to deal with this and be strong for her. My heart is heavy now. It was unexpected at this early age, but I am so "Thankful" they can help her.

HIM Leader Report:

Reporting to you in regard to Hmong Ministry of Northern Thailand during June-2009:

1. We have brought 6 people into saving faith in Yesus (Jesus) Christ (one from Lao on border)

2. Conducted church revival in Ban Khune Sathang, Nan Province

3. Leadership training for 8 churches in Ban Karet, Phagnamengrai district, Chiang Rai Province

4. Routine Bible studies and fellowship services in 5 Cell groups in Nan Province

5. Conducted Bible studies two times for believers from Laos on Thai border

6. Education ministry: I have conducted Bible studies and taught English in Pua dorm

7. Proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ to several animistic believers in 3 villages

8. Coordinated closely with church leaders of several denominations throughout northern Thailand and whose affiliated with Thailand Baptist Association and Northern Thai Baptist

Summary of work of Hmong Ministry: We have shared the Gospel of Yesus (Jesus) Christ to many Hmong animistic believers and have brought them unto saving faith in Yesus. Also provided church revivals and leadership training for churches.
